  • Are these apps web wrappers? Yes, these apps work by wrapping the web services in native containers, restyling them to look better and more responsive, and adding native features to enhance the desktop experience.
  • Are these Electron apps? Nope, we developed Boxy Suite with a custom wrapping technology based on WKWebView, so the apps are super lightweight. Wanna know more? Ask Francesco.
  • Are these apps safe? We don’t read or store Google account credentials, and we have no access whatsoever to user accounts. Boxy Suite apps behave like browsers with custom styling and native features built on top.
  • Can I use the apps offline? Nope, but if you lose connection the apps will keep basic functionality and will reconnect automatically when a network is available.

  • I’m tech writer/vlogger and I’d like to try the apps Awesome, just tell us and we’ll create an account for you.
  • Why do you need additional permissions to enable Notifications in the Dashboard? To fetch email and calendar notifications we could have used IMAP and asked you to provide you full Google credentials (with 2FA enabled, you would have also needed to create an Application Specific Password, which is cumbersome). Instead, we're using official Gmail and Calendar APIs, which provide us with a secure token that is only stored and used locally and can be easily revoked by you. Unlike many competitors, we don’t ever send this token to our servers; again, it is only used locally on your Mac to fetch emails and events, and never uploaded anywhere.
  • I’ve started a free trial but I haven’t received the confirmation email If you've been waiting for a few minutes already, please check your Spam folder. If you can't find your confirmation email there, please let us know.
  • I want to cancel my plan You can do it from your Account page.
  • I've started a free trial but my credit card has been charged anyway Boxy Suite has a 100% free trial. If you start it with your credit card, anyway, you'll usually see a small $1 charge by Paddle. This charge will be refunded to your account shortly.
  • I'm not satisfied, can I get a refund? If you are not satisfied with Boxy Suite, please contact us within 14 days of your first billing to receive a full refund. Refunds requested more than 14 days after your first billing date will not be issued unless the transaction was subject to a fraudulent purchase.
  • What extensions do you support? We support all the extensions available on the G Suite Marketplace. You can add them by clicking on the plus button in the right sidebar in Boxy for Gmail.
  • Do you support third-party extensions like MixMax? We'd love to support MixMax and other popular extensions, and we're actively looking into this. If you’re a developer and you’d like to bring your extension to hundreds of Boxy Suite users, let us know.
  • Some keyboard shortcuts don't work Keyboard shortcuts aren't enabled by default in Gmail. Check this GIF to learn how to enable them.
  • If I click on an email link, it doens't open in Boxy for Gmail The reason mailto: link don't work for some users is the same as the above questions: keyboard shortcuts aren't enabled (this features uses them to work). Check this GIF to learn how to enable keyboard shortcuts in your Gmail account.
  • Signature images are broken in Boxy for Gmail If you see a broken image in your signature, this is due to a bug in Gmail for non-Chrome browsers. To solve this issue, you need to upload your image on a service other than Google Drive (the one offered by default in Gmail) and add it via the URL in Gmail settings.
